CARNEGIE, Pa., July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Take your summer vacation and get back in time to shop. For your convenience, The Salvation Army and WTAE TV's Project Bundle-Up's Annual Online Auction is moving from July to August through early September. More than 400 items have been provided by generous donors and are available for sale online from August 23rd through September 6th. Items include multiple golf certificates, a wide variety of services, gift certificates, furniture, appliances, electronics, gift baskets, signed sports memorabilia, and so much more.
For 27 years, the WTAE Project Bundle-Up Auction has played a critical role in providing hundreds of thousands of coats, hats, mittens and boots for needy children and seniors across Western Pennsylvania. Founded in 1986 by WTAE-TV Channel 4 and The Salvation Army, Project Bundle-Up has raised more than 11.8 million dollars and served more than 236,000 needy kids and seniors with new winter outerwear. The annual auction is one of the primary ways that Project Bundle-Up raises funds to provide personal shopping trips for nearly 7,500 deserving individuals each year.
Shop until you drop in the convenience of your own home and provide new winter outerwear for area needy kids and seniors. Simply log onto to either www.projectbundleup.com, www.wtae.com; or www.salvationarmy-wpa.org and follow the prompts and links. You may also access through eBay, however, items are only featured on that site for a maximum of seven days. You can view all items during the auction duration at www.projectbundleup.com. Each week will feature new items up for bid on eBay. You will need to register with eBay to bid or buy an item and payment and shipping will be handled through correspondence via eBay. MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted via PayPal. The Project Bundle-Up Online Auction offers free shipping on shippable items. Some larger items will require pick-up. All sales are "as is" and final and cannot be returned for cash.
