Jessica Blume Named Head of Deloitte's State Government Practice
Will also lead organization's Public Sector Industry Group
NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte, the largest professional services organization in the United States, has appointed Jessica Blume, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, to lead its state government practice. Blume has also been named as public sector industry group leader, effective immediately. Deloitte's public sector industry group is comprised of both the state government sector and federal government services.
Blume will transition into both roles this month and will work alongside Bob Campbell, Deloitte's current U.S. state government sector leader, until his retirement in June. Robin Lineberger, chief executive officer and national sector leader of Deloitte's federal government services, will collaborate closely with Blume to continue to build capabilities to serve public sector clients and achieve greater synergies with Deloitte's federal, state and commercial practices.
Blume began her Deloitte career in the government sector and has held numerous leadership roles in Deloitte Consulting LLP. She has served as Deloitte Consulting's southeast regional managing director; national managing director, public sector; and national managing director, industries. Blume is a member of Deloitte Consulting's board of directors and previously served on Deloitte LLP's board of directors.

Campbell has served as the U.S. state government leader for the past eight years. During his nearly four decades of service at Deloitte, Campbell has held several leadership roles, including leading Deloitte's public sector practice when Deloitte's industry program was newly established. He co-founded Deloitte's federal practice 10 years ago and led Deloitte's public sector consulting practice again during the early part of the last decade.
During his career at Deloitte Campbell has served more than 40 states, co-authored several books and reports, and most recently served on the 19-member Bipartisan Policy Center's U.S. Debt Reduction Task Force.
