Jersey City Public Schools Selects Infinite Campus to Improve Changing Data Management Needs
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Custom Computer Specialists, Inc. ("Custom"), the Northeast Channel Partner for Infinite Campus, announces that the Jersey City Public Schools, which serves over 27,000 students within Hudson County New Jersey, has selected Infinite Campus as its student information system (SIS). The Business Technology Department chose Infinite Campus as it outscored other systems on benchmark requirements such as flexibility, attendance functionality, student scheduling, ease of use, and parental accessibility.
Over the years it became apparent that the Jersey City Public Schools needed to update their system in order to significantly decrease the potential for data entry errors, provide administration with easy access to data, and meet state reporting requirements. New Jersey has recently increased its demands for accurate and timely student data reporting via their NJ SMART portal. Infinite Campus provides integrated state reporting capabilities designed to meet New Jersey's preferred format, simplifying the process.
"We understand that the bar has been raised for quality student data in order to analyze trends and assist the administration in making critical decisions," said Craig Garner, Systems Analyst at Jersey City Public Schools. "Infinite Campus streamlines the administrative process, tracks student progress, and encourages collaboration between the school, parents, and students. Their experience and professional approach will be a much welcome asset when it comes to meeting the challenges of the future."
Jersey City Public Schools' implementation, conversion, training and ongoing support will be handled by Custom Computer Specialists' dedicated Infinite Campus team.
"Custom is pleased to have been chosen to partner with Jersey City Public Schools on this critical project," said Alan Lacher, Custom's Chief Operating Officer. "Our expertise in enterprise systems integration, and K12 operations, will ensure a smooth transition and provide Jersey City Public Schools with unsurpassed product and service quality."
Jersey City Public School District plans to go live with Infinite Campus in February 2012.
