Jenner & Block Strengthens Its Corporate Practice With The Return Of Aon In-House Counsel Michael T. Wolf As A Partner In Its Chicago Office
CHICAGO, Sept. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Jenner & Block announced today that Michael T. Wolf, most recently corporate vice president and global chief counsel for corporate at Aon plc, has rejoined the firm as a partner in its Chicago office. He will be a member of the firm's Mergers & Acquisitions, and Securities Practices. Mr. Wolf was a partner with Jenner & Block from 2003 to 2014, when he joined Aon's in-house legal team.

Mr. Wolf represents public and private companies, joint ventures, start-ups and other business clients in a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters, including public and private company mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and other similar transactions, securities offerings and counseling, commercial contracting, IP transactions, and board and committee corporate governance counseling. His industry experience includes the aviation and aerospace, automotive, consulting, consumer products, financial services, food, insurance brokerage, laboratory services, medical equipment, manufacturing, software, steel and telecommunications industries.

In his role at Aon, Mr. Wolf was responsible for global mergers and acquisitions, securities, capital markets, corporate secretary and governance matters, tax and internal reorganizations, vendor contracting and intellectual property management at a UK-domiciled, NYSE-listed company with a $32 billion market capitalization. While at Aon, Mr. Wolf led, among other significant merger and acquisition transactions, the transformational sale of Aon's global benefits administration and business process outsourcing division for US$4.3 billion plus a US$500 million contingent payment. He also led many registered offerings of senior notes aggregating US$2.9 billion in principal amount, one registered offering of EuroNotes with €500 million in principal amount, and the negotiation of Aon's US$900 million multi-currency credit facility and Aon's US and European commercial paper programs.

Mr. Wolf received his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from DePaul University and his B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
