OAKLAND, Calif., April 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeffrey Grice, MD, has joined The Permanente Federation as associate executive director, communications, marketing, and human resources. In this role, Dr. Grice will oversee communications, public and media relations, marketing and brand, the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health in Washington, DC, human resources, and leadership development. Dr. Grice joins The Permanente Federation from Group Health Physicians (GHP), an affiliate medical group of The Permanente Federation, where he served as medical director of clinical excellence and integration.

Prior to joining The Permanente Federation, Dr. Grice served as the medical director of clinical excellence and integration for Group Health's multispecialty group practice, overseeing quality, safety, and service programs. Dr. Grice also led human resources planning, performance evaluation, staff development, and compliance for more than 1,100 GHP clinicians. Earlier, Dr. Grice managed Capitol Hill Medical Center in Seattle, the largest of Group Health's medical facilities in Washington, and previously served as chief of the department of obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Grice's clinical and teaching experience includes serving as faculty for The Permanente Federation's Medicine & Management program, a comprehensive leadership development program for physicians; as a clinical instructor at the University of Washington School of Medicine; and as a clinical associate at the Group Health Research Institute.
Dr. Grice earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and served in residencies at the University of Washington in obstetrics and gynecology and Virginia Mason Medical Center's pelvic surgery and oncology fellowship. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
