Former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush will deliver the keynote address for The Hun School of Princeton's Convocation Ceremony on Monday, September 9th, at 9:00 a.m. The event ceremoniously opens the school's 100th year. Weather permitting; the academic ceremony will take place on the lawn behind Russell Hall at 176 Edgerstoune Road, Princeton, New Jersey. John Ellis "Jeb" Bush is the former Governor of Florida, the second son of former President George HW Bush, brother of former President George W Bush, and an influential member of the Republican Party. During his eight years as Governor, Mr. Bush is credited with successfully reforming the Florida education system. Gov. Bush was born in Midland, Texas. He attended Phillips Academy Andover, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas, completing his coursework in just two and a half years.
The Centennial Convocation Ceremony will be followed by a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Global Commons, a 30,000 square foot campus center, dormitory, and classroom building. Students and faculty will then proceed with their first classes of the school's 100th anniversary year.
