Jeannie K. Sticher is recognized by Continental Who's Who

DANA POINT, Calif., Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeannie K. Sticher is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Professional of the Year 2017 in the field of Higher Education.    

Sticher's professional title is Instructor and Internship Advisor at the University of California at Irvine – Department of Continuing Education. She has worked in the field since 2006 and brings expertise in sales and marketing operations, human resources, career development and leadership to her role, where she has worked since 2012. Before beginning work in her current role, she served as Interim Program Manager for the University of California at Irvine's Women's Opportunity Center.

"I'm currently teaching several topics within the International Program at the University of California-Irvine including Business English, Résumé/Interview and Communication Skills," Stitcher said. "I recently developed and implemented an on-line course, focusing on career development and networking skills."

Prior to entering the field of higher education, Sticher worked in sales for Mars, Inc., for 24 years, both domestically and globally. "This experience included leadership of large customer teams, organizational design and development of learning programs at the business and university level," Stitcher said of her work. Additionally, she served on the faculty of DePaul University as an Adjunct Professor from 2005 – 2009.

Stitcher earned her Bachelor's degree in Textiles and Clothing from the University of Central Oklahoma. She then went on to complete her Master's degree in Management and Organization Design from John F. Kennedy University.

When not working, Sticher serves a number of organizations, including: the Ocean Institute of Dana Point, where she serves on the Sand Dollar Board; Orange County Democratic Women; 960 Homeowners Association; and volunteers her time to Meals on Wheels.

Additionally, Sticher enjoys hiking, outdoor activities and spending time with her two dogs. She dedicates this recognition to the faculty in sales leadership at DePaul University, who gave her a start in the field.
