JCPenney Awarded College Scholarships to Deserving Latino Students at Univision's 7th Annual Premios Juventud
PLANO, Texas, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- During the exciting 7th annual Premios Juventud youth awards show on Univision, JCPenney once again honored three Hispanic high school graduates for their excellence in the arts, sports and academics, and awarded them each a $15,000 college scholarship.

Barbara Ramirez, from Tracy, CA, was recognized for excellence in the Arts. Hailing from El Monte, CA, Efren Alcala was honored for Sports, while Romina Sanchez, a Miami resident, received the Academic Award. As a token of appreciation for their hard work, JCPenney also gifted the scholarship winners with a complete makeover experience at their Dadeland Mall JCPenney Store in Miami, FL. At the store, the winners received beauty services and a red-carpet look from JCPenney's Back-to-School styles.
Additionally, the winners' personal stories about their experience were featured on Univision's Despierta America the following morning.
