JCN National Women's Coalition Recruits Female Entrepreneurs to Defend Free Enterprise
ATLANTA, Aug. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Job Creators Network National Women's Coalition advisory board has been finalized with its inaugural list of members. The purpose of NWC board members is to provide unique insights and advice to JCN staff and CEOs regarding public policy issues that impact female entrepreneurs and new member recruitment.
"I am both honored and excited to work with this impressive group," said Heidi Ganahl, founder of the Camp Bow Wow pet care franchise and chairwoman of the JCN National Women's Coalition. "They each share the goal of bringing more members into the JCN Employer to Employee program and improving the value of that program for JCN members."
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina is the honorary co-chair, and the Coalition's other advisory board members are National Restaurant Association president Dawn Sweeney; Debbie Brown of the Colorado Women's Alliance; Sabrina Schaeffer of the Independent Women's Forum; Joy Lutes of the National Association of Women Business Owners; and Sarah Magruder Lyle of the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers. The Employer to Employee (E2E) education program is JCN's unique outreach that helps entrepreneurs teach the values of free enterprise within their workplaces.
"Whether it's the National Labor Relations Board declaring war on the franchise business model that made my company successful at creating opportunity and jobs, or countless other areas where bad public policy harms good people," continued Ganahl, "business leaders must become more effective advocates within their workplaces for defending what makes it all possible.
"There are ten million women-owned businesses that now generate $1.4 trillion in sales each year," she concluded. "The objective of JCN's National Women's Coalition advisory board is to bring those female entrepreneurs on board to help defend free enterprise one workplace at a time."
JCN is a nonpartisan organization founded by entrepreneurs like Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus who believe the best defense against bad government policies is a well-informed public. JCN members talk about paychecks, not politics, helping the public, policymakers and their own employees understand what is needed to create jobs.
