JBL® Control X Series To Be The Newest Addition To Iconic JBL Control Range Loudspeakers
HARMAN updates its best-selling JBL Control range products in 2015
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CES 2015 -- HARMAN, the premium global audio, infotainment and enterprise automation group (NYSE: HAR), announces that the iconic JBL Control range will be revamped in 2015 with the addition of the JBL Control X and JBL Control X Wireless Series. The JBL Control X Wireless won HARMAN an International CES 2015 Innovation Honoree Award in the Home Audio/Video Components and Accessories product category. The new products address a variety of use cases that provide high-performance component audio sound, and the JBL Control X Wireless does so without requiring additional components or wires.
"We have been looking forward to announcing the JBL Control range update because it is such an iconic line," said Michael Mauser, president of the HARMAN Lifestyle Division. "The best of the best in loudspeakers is about to get even better with the new JBL Control X Series."
The new JBL Control X range will initially consist of two products, the JBL Control X Wireless and the JBL Control X. The JBL Control X Wireless is a compact, yet powerful, active Bluetooth® stereo speaker pair that can be used in the home or outdoors. It is the world's first truly wireless stereo Bluetooth® speaker pair that allows a user to add an additional wireless stereo pair without any wires or cables between each speaker. Users can opt to use a single speaker, both speakers or up to four speakers at once, depending on the location or need. These speakers are perfect for outdoor activity, no matter the location (beach, mountains, park or backyard). The JBL Control X Wireless adds improved performance and portability over the existing JBL Control 2.4G and 2.4G AW models.
Along with these enhancements, both new models feature an all-new design that echoes the recognized JBL Control form factor, but with an updated, modern look. The JBL Control X Wireless loudspeaker is available in graphite, red and white, and the JBL Control X model is available in white and black finishes.
