Kids Get Fit is a free community outreach program designed to help school districts promote kids' fitness as a way of life. It was established as a part of the Junior Jazzercise program to teach children the importance of establishing healthy habits at an early age that last a lifetime.
"Junior Jazzercise is a personal commitment and passion of mine, and I have always recognized the importance of promoting kids fitness," said Jazzercise Founder and CEO Judi Sheppard Missett. "Since our first Kids Get Fit event with the President's Council on Fitness and Sports and Arnold Schwarzenegger to today's focus on healthy kids and Let's Move with Michelle Obama, Junior Jazzercise and Kids Get Fit have an important place in our communities."
Certified Jazzercise fitness instructors will host interactive events to teach children that being healthy and fit can be fun through movement, games and activities, and discussion about basic nutrition. Children can channel their "inner Beiber" by learning easy-to-follow, current dance fitness steps set to the music of today's popular artists. For more information on Kids Get Fit events, please contact Nicole Cox at (760) 602-7119.
