Jay Williams to Participate and Speak at Summit on Accelerating Innovation
WASHINGTON, June 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Jay Williams, Executive Director of the Office of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers, will participate at and deliver remarks to leaders from the North American automotive supply chain in the closing plenary of the first Summit on Accelerating Innovation to Drive Sustainable Automotive Manufacturing Growth Across North America at Oakland University's campus in Rochester, Michigan on June 27, 2013.
Co-hosted by the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP), Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) and Oakland University, the Summit on Accelerating Innovation brings a diverse group of leaders from across the North American automotive supply chain together to understand and explore barriers presently limiting the widespread adoption of environmentally and economically impactful advanced manufacturing process innovations.
Jay Williams is the executive director of the Office of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers of the U.S. Department of Labor. ORACW works with federal agencies to address issues of special importance to automotive communities and workers. This office works directly with state and local stakeholders in areas affected by the changing American automotive industry to ensure that they receive the federal support necessary that, when in conjunction with state and local efforts, will help these communities return to a better economic condition.
Matt Bogoshian, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Senior Policy Counsel in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, will deliver the Summit's luncheon keynote earlier that day.
