Jawa Announces Its Corporate Partnership With Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its employee-driven philanthropy program, 'Jawa Gives,' Scottsdale-based software and interactive media firm, Jawa, has selected the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix as this month's charity recipient. Jawa's donation will assist RMHC in providing a home-away-from-home for children and their families who travel to Phoenix to receive treatment for serious and often life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The organization was nominated by a Jawa employee who has volunteered for RMHC of Phoenix for many years after his extended family received much-needed support from the Ronald McDonald House during a difficult time.
In addition to a cash donation, Jawa will become a Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix Corporate Partner and an active participant in all RMHC events throughout the year, including "A McNight to Remember," a November 6 gala celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Ronald McDonald House in Phoenix. Additionally, Jawa will be hosting a speaker from the RMHC at its offices this month so employees can learn more about the organization.
"The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix plays such a vital role in the well-being of children and families from, and traveling to, our community; I can't think of a more important organization to give to. I look forward to Jawa's partnership with the RMHC and continuing to contribute to its cause," said Jawa CEO Jason Hope.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix joins a fantastic group of organizations that have received donations through 'Jawa Gives,' a program which allows employees to nominate their favorite charities to receive a donation. Most recently, Jawa has donated to the Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter, Phoenix Zoo, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Desert Mountain States Chapter, Donor Network of Arizona and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix.
