Jason Goldberg Promoted To Chief Creative Officer, STX Digital New Media Group And Alternative Content
BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Having secured development deals on 25 new television shows which have been set up globally from the United States to China, Jason Goldberg has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer for STX's Digital and New Media Group as well as the Alternative Content division for STX Entertainment, it was announced today by Sophie Watts, President of STX Entertainment.
Under Goldberg's leadership, STX's Non-Scripted television division has already sold and secured deals for 25 shows to multiple networks in the U.S, China, India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, on leading networks including MTV, E!, NBC, Nat Geo, Verizon, History and CMT. He is currently in production on four series with on-air commitments and is additionally filming two series orders for 2017, including the first local language television show ever developed by a U.S.-based entertainment company for broadcast in China. The variety/reality series "Top Surprise," launches later this month on the Hunan network, which reaches approximately 1 billion television viewers throughout China.

Goldberg co-founded and served as the CEO of Katalyst Media from 2000 to 2014, where he was the Creator, Executive Producer and Director of MTV's hit show "Punk'd". Before joining STX, he produced over 30 television shows around the world, including "Beauty and The Geek" as well as ten feature films, including The Butterfly Effect.
During his tenure at Katalyst, the company created original programming through unrivaled distribution and technology platforms with some of the world's most recognized companies and brands, including Pepsi, Intel, Levi's, Kellogg, Google, Gatorade and General Electric, to name a few. Katalyst was acquired in 2014 by Prime Capital Inc.
Goldberg received his B.A. in Business from Tulane University.
