Jason Goldberg Elevated to Razorfish Commerce Lead
NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Razorfish, the world leader in helping global brands drive business transformation, today announced Jason "Retailgeek" Goldberg has been tapped to lead the agency's Commerce and Content Practice. In his new role, Goldberg will be responsible for strengthening the agency's already robust capabilities in omni-channel strategy, ubiquitous commerce, shopper marketing experiences, retail platforms and more. He will report to Shannon Denton, Chief Executive Officer of Razorfish Global North America.
"Jason is a skilled leader and has made significant contributions to Razorfish's commerce practice, from strategic thinking and vision to his depth of knowledge across retail and commerce," said Denton. "I am confident that his exceptionally strong expertise in marketing, product management, user experience and business strategy will help drive greater levels of conversion and loyalty on behalf of our clients through our digital-first approach to commerce."
Goldberg joined Razorfish in 2012 as vice president of strategy and has played an influential role in developing and implementing innovative new commerce experiences for several of the agency's leading retail clients, including Uniqlo, HSN, Abercrombie & Fitch and Mondelez. Most recently, Goldberg contributed to the launch of Razorshop, a physical storefront experience that seamlessly connects the customer journey across all touch points and empowers retailers to sell more intelligently. Razorshop was designed in partnership with Razorfish's Emerging Experience Practice, and is powered by Adobe and the agency's proprietary BLE Experience Platform.
"Razorfish has long been known as a digital pioneer in the industry and as digital has fundamentally disrupted the traditional shopping experience, we are reinventing the commerce experience and shopper marketing for the new consumer," said Goldberg. "Razorfish is a clear leader in delivering commerce experiences that drive true business value, and I'm honored to work with this world-class team on a greater scale to develop the future of commerce."
Over the course of his more than twenty year career, Goldberg has developed a strong track record in visual merchandising, customer experience architecture, eCommerce, usability, search engine optimization and interactive merchandising. Under his Twitter feed, @RetailGeek, he is one of the most followed eCommerce subject matter experts on the web. He is a member of the board of directors of Shop.org, the digital retail arm of the National Retail Federation, and has held senior customer experience architect roles for companies such as Best Buy, Levi Strauss & Co., Sony, Microsoft and more.
