Jared Bernstein, Chief Economist and Economic Policy Advisor to Vice President Joe Biden, Talks to Azteca America's 'Issues: Caras y Voces' About the Economy and Public Investment
WASHINGTON, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America television network is proud to feature Jared Bernstein, Chief Economist and Economic Policy Advisor for the Vice President, on this week's broadcast of "Issues: Caras y Voces," hosted by veteran Latino journalist Armando Guzman.
Jared Bernstein started working as Chief Economist and Economic Policy Advisor for Joe Biden in December 2008. He is also the Executive Director of the Middle Class Working Families Task Force and is directly responsible for the management of the project.
Mr. Bernstein's areas of expertise are labor markets, economic inequality, poverty, productivity, technology and policy analysis. He is also the author of several economics books.
Regarding the drastic changes in the U.S. economy and the government's economic plans, he said that more investment will be seen during President Obama's second year at the White House. That investment will be directed to several segments that will jump start the country's economy.
"These are the investments that will not only create good jobs in the U.S., but will also be the basis of an economic expansion that will benefit everyone, not just a group of privileged people," he said.
Jared Bernstein added that both President Obama and Vice President Biden have the Latino community on their minds when they make every economic decision.
