Forging the New Japan: Japanese Woodblock Prints from the Collection of Sheldon and Heather Siegel

This is a stunning exhibition of Japanese woodblock prints from the collection of Sheldon and Heather Siegel of West Bloomfield, MI. The prints from the Meiji Period (1868 – 1912) represent the historical topics of the turbulent times in Japan at the turn of the 20th century.

Poetry in Print: Japanese Woodblock Prints from the Collection of the Saginaw Art Museum

In the spirit of collaboration, the AB Dow Museum features a special selection of colorful woodblock prints depicting a range of themes including birds, animals, domestic scenes and landscapes that display how European impressionism influenced Japanese artists (c.1830 – 1850).

Modern Twist: Contemporary Japanese Bamboo Art

Modern Twist explores the evocative sculptural power of contemporary bamboo art. Bamboo is a cornerstone of the Japanese culture.
