This limited vision of Japan inspired the launch of the 'More Than' Project. The 'More Than' Project was founded to support Japanese brands spreading all over the world. The project is one of several initiatives of the "Cool Japan" movement, promoted by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to express the country's emergent status as a cultural superpower.
Thirteen Japanese products have been selected to represent Japan through March 2016. The products are curated to represent a new generation of Japanese materials, craftsmanship and innovation. Mirai Clinical was chosen to promote its Purifying & Deodorizing Soap Bar in the U.S.
Mirai Clinical is a "less is more" skin care and body care company from Japan. Mirai Clinical produces and distributes cosmetics that use traditional Japanese ingredients. Mirai Clinical carries multiple products, but a few reasons why the soap bar was specifically selected include:
- Traditional manufacturing process: Mirai Clinical's soap bars are manufactured at a factory in Japan using traditional manufacturing processes that require time-consuming kneading by hand, months for the drying period and one-by-one manual brushing. This gentle approach contrasts with harsher, more mechanical processes common in the U.S. that dry out soap quickly and require synthetic ingredients to maintain aesthetics.
- Powerful persimmon deodorant proven by history: The active ingredient in Mirai Clinical's deodorant is persimmon. Persimmon has been used in deodorant for centuries in Japan and persimmon deodorant is a huge market in Japan.
- Eliminates nonenal: Persimmon deodorant is clinically proven to eliminate all kinds of body odors, including odors from the armpit, groin, feet and nonenal or old people smell — the cause of odor that occurs with age. Mirai Clinical is on a mission to teach Westerners a successful approach to treating body odor that cannot be washed off with regular soaps.
Mirai Clinical's Persimmon Soap Bar and the More Than Project were recently featured in the Japan Brand Festival, Jan. 12-15, in Shibuya Hikarie, Tokyo, where Mirai Clinical CEO Koko Hayashi, was a presenter. www.miraiclinical.com
