LENOIR CITY, Tenn., Jan. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated stability operations company Janus Global Operations will provide security and risk management services in southern Iraq for an international life support and logistics provider.
Janus Global will provide static security in order to safeguard the company's clients and employees at the facility located in one of southern Iraq's major oil fields. This two-year contract will also provide a base from which Janus Global will operate an ad hoc Protective Security Detail (PSD), providing secure transportation services across Southern Iraq. To help ensure security the client's name and base location is withheld.
Janus Global has been in Iraq since 2004 working on multiple stability operations for commercial and governmental clients. Two such projects were spotlighted by ABC News and PBS, which reported on Janus Global's work in Ramadi and Mosul, Iraq, to eliminate the dangers of improvised explosive devices, booby traps, and other dangers left to kill and maim by ISIS as it retreated from the cities.
Janus Global holds several international security certifications. In 2015 Janus Global was the first U.S. company to achieve worldwide certification under ANSI/ASIS PSC.1-2012, an international standard designed specifically for private security company quality management systems.
"Clients understand that we don't simply say we have a capability; we demonstrate the capability both in the certifications we earn and the results we produce in the field," said Matt Kaye, Janus Global president and chief executive officer. "We can integrate those services into any other stability operations requirement that clients might require."
Janus Global performs security and risk management tasks for clients throughout the world, with major engagements in Africa and the Middle East. In another recent risk management-related development, in July 2017 the company was selected by a major international oil company to provide security for its central Iraq operations.
Janus Global Operations stability operations work is conducted by thousands of employees serving clients in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Janus' services include munitions response; demining; intelligence support; logistics; life support; risk management; communications; and other services in some of the world's most challenging and hostile environments.
