Lee began his U-Haul career in May 2005 as a field relief manager (FRM) for U-Haul Company of Eastern Wisconsin. He also has held the positions of general manager (GM) of U-Haul Moving and Storage at Good Hope Road, customer service representative (CSR) at U-Haul Moving and Storage of West Allis and assistant GM for U-Haul Moving and Storage at Capitol Drive. In April 2010, Lee transferred as GM to U-Haul Moving and Storage of Lincoln Park, the position he held until his recent promotion. Today, as president, Lee will oversee all operations of U-Haul Company of North Shore Chicago, including truck, trailer and storage rentals.
"Jamie is committed, organized and understands that team members are the number one asset required for Company growth," affirmed Hansen. "Jamie is results oriented, firm and fair, and understands that personal and professional development form the key to growth and stability within U-Haul Company of North Shore Chicago. I am looking forward to having Jamie take over as MCP. With his communication skills and knack for networking, I'm convinced we'll see him achieve new levels of success."
In assuming his role as president, Lee is looking forward to new adventures and new opportunities to train team members, and implement and increase U-Haul Company of North Shore Chicago's productivity. He is enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with his new team and is looking forward to developing productive working relationships. Lee knows that he has a hardworking, experienced team whose knowledge and input certainly will help increase the Company's productivity. He plans to build off on the strengths his team already brings to the table.
"I am here to help everyone. I want my team members to know that I am here to support them professionally and personally," Lee stated. "I also want to make the community aware that we are here to help improve their way of life in any way we can with the products and services U-Haul offers."
With his goals already established, Lee plans on increasing storage occupancy, and the number of U-Haul dealerships and affiliates. He also hopes to build strong relationships with city officials and members throughout the communities he serves. Prior to working for U-Haul, Lee held many different positions throughout his professional career that have played key roles in the development of his people and leadership skills. From lifeguard, swimming teacher, coaching, retail management, sports management and food services, Lee says all of his experiences dealt with management, training, customer service and daily interaction and communication with peers. Through those experiences, and the words of wisdom given to him by his father, Danny ("Lead by example"), Lee has learned that success is achieved by consistent action. Lee says that if you consistently follow and implement tried-and-true procedures, and lead by example, success always follows.

Our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle includes fuel-efficient moving vans, neighborhood proximity, moving box reuse, moving pads made from discarded material and packing peanuts that are 100% biodegradable.
