James W. Arce Joins Cassidy Turley as Senior Managing Director, West Region
CRE Veteran will lead Cassidy Turley Property Management and Investor Services Business Development in Western U.S.
SAN FRANCISCO, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., announced today that James W. Arce has joined the firm as Senior Managing Director, West Region.
In his new position, Mr. Arce will take a leadership role in account management and business development efforts as Cassidy Turley expands its property and facility management and project leasing business lines across the region and U.S. Additionally, he will lead Cassidy Turley's property management efforts in the Western U.S., including Northern California, Los Angeles, San Diego and Arizona.

Mr. Arce spent 12 years at Cushman & Wakefield, from 2000 to April 2012, and over that span, he vastly expanded the firm's scope with property management clients such as AEGON, CW Capital, MetLife, Prudential and JP Morgan and facilities management and corporate services clients such as Sun Microsystems (now Oracle), Symantec, eBay, CitiGroup, and Pacific Gas & Electric. He most recently served as Executive Managing Director, Client Solutions, at Cushman & Wakefield. In this capacity he served as Head of Investor Services for the U.S., responsible for agency leasing and property management with an additional focus on building a national account management platform in collaboration with capital markets and project leasing.He also was the Global Practice lead for Investor Services. He received the prestigious James P. McGuire Award as the outstanding Cushman & Wakefield Asset Services professional in 2003. He also has held executive and management positions at Wilson Cornerstone Properties and RREEF and owned Arce Construction Co., a general contractor specializing in renovation and rehabilitation.
Mr. Arce left Cushman & Wakefield in April 2012 to take a sabbatical. During this time he has been teaching Commercial Real Estate Financial Management at San Francisco State University and lending his skills and expertise to the nonprofit world. At the close of his sabbatical, he weighed a number of options and ultimately chose Cassidy Turley.

Mr. Arce holds a real estate broker's license in California as well as a California general contractor's license. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, holding its Certified Shopping Center Management designation; the Institute of Real Estate Management, holding its Certified Property Management designation; the Urban Land Institute; CoreNet Global; and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), where he has served as a member of the National Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Guardsmen, a San Francisco men's charitable organization, and is on the Board of Governors of California Trout, a group focused on retaining and enhancing environmental quality for salmon, trout and steelhead in California. He also is founder of Berkeley Real Estate Associates, a group dedicated to continual education for Bay Area real estate professionals. He earned a MBA in Real Estate from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Riverside in Economics and Russian Studies. Mr. Arce is an Eagle Scout.
