James River Coal Company Announces Preliminary Proxy Vote Results
RICHMOND, Va., May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- James River Coal Company (NASDAQ: JRCC), today announced the preliminary results of their proxy vote provided by the Company's transfer agent.
On Proposal 1, preliminary results indicate that Peter T. Socha and Leonard J. Kujawa have been elected as directors of the Company.
On Proposal 2, the potential stock issuance, preliminary results indicate it received a majority of the shares voted.
On Proposal 3, executive compensation, preliminary results indicate it received a majority of the shares voted.
On Proposal 4, the appointment of KPMG LLP as the Company's independent accounting firm for 2013, preliminary results indicate it received a majority of the shares voted.
James River will file with the SEC a Current Report on Form 8-K with the certified results promptly after they become available.
