MCLEAN, Va., April 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] announced that Senior Vice President James R. Moos has assumed the role as group general manager in support of the company's Engineering Solutions Group, comprised of approximately 4,900 employees focused on solving the nation's toughest problems in energy, environment, and infrastructure markets. Moos formerly served as the group's deputy general manager.
Moos has more than 24 years of experience in managing large, complex organizations and programs covering both the technical and business aspects of environmental, construction and engineering activities. Since joining SAIC more than 14 years ago, Moos most recently led the company's Environment & Civil Infrastructure Operation. He has also managed multi-million dollar, complex programs with budgets greater than $500 million in many diverse areas, including program management, risk evaluation and assessment, environmental engineering and construction, facility engineering and management services, and emergency system design and construction.
Prior to joining SAIC, Moos was with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and MK Ferguson Co. He also spent more than six years in the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power Program.
