Early in his career, Unmack attained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of California-Berkeley in 1964. Later, he then obtained his MSEE in Bioengineering from the University of Santa Clara, in 1966. He is a graduate of the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, Brooks AFB, Bio-environmental Engineering in 1968 and studied bioengineering at the University of California-San Diego in 1971.
Unmack is an esteemed member of several organizations including a Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association; a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers; Board Certified Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers; American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists and Torrance Arts Council. Under the mentorship of Jim Heacock and Fred Ottoboni (Supervisors at CAL OSHA), Unmack was able to utilize the skills that he's acquired today and incorporate it into the heart of his business.
