Ghobadi is currently the founder of the Law Offices of Jahangir Ghobadi, P.C., where he also serves as a private attorney who specializes in the areas of immigration law, family law, bankruptcy, and business law.

Before he became a practicing attorney, Ghobadi was a career diplomat for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his home country of Iran. He is affiliated with the District of Columbia Bar Association and Virginia State Bar Association.

Ghobadi received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Tehran in Iran, his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law, and his Ph.D. from the American University.
