Jacobs Joins Tiger Capital Group as Director of Field Operations

BOSTON, April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Arnold L. Jacobs has joined Tiger Capital Group as Director of Field Operations, following more than 22 years as an independent consultant to the firm and The Nassi Group.

Jacobs will be responsible for managing the activities of Tiger's teams that conduct inventory dispositions and asset evaluations in the field.

Jacobs comes to the newly created position with 28 years of experience in the retail marketplace as both an operational executive and field consultant on asset dispositions and evaluations. Since 1989, Jacobs provided operational project leadership, strategic marketing guidance and venture due diligence on over 100 liquidations. His projects ranged from managing single store closings to serving as a regional or lead consultant on some of the largest liquidations in retail history, including Circuit City, Gottschalk's and Movie Gallery-Canada.

Prior to that, Jacobs spent five years as executive vice president, operations at Buyers Club Markets, Denver, Colo., where he was a member of the start-up team at America's second membership warehouse chain.

He began his career in 1971 in the newspaper industry, serving as vice president of advertising in start-up publication Arizona Pennysaver, Tempe, Ariz. In 1980, he relocated to Denver to become executive vice president/ business and marketing manager at Community Press Newspapers.
