Jackson Healthcare Breaks Ground on $100 Million Campus Expansion for 1,400 New Jobs
Eight Story Tower in Alpharetta to Anchor Italian Renaissance Campus
ATLANTA, May 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Jackson Healthcare, one of the nation's largest healthcare staffing firms, today broke ground on a $100 million expansion for its corporate headquarters in Alpharetta that will accommodate 1,400 new associates and offer some of the finest amenities of any employer in the country.
With Gov. Nathan Deal, Alpharetta city officials, state lawmakers and Jackson executives and associates on hand, the company kicked off a 20-month project to enlarge its corporate headquarters at 2655 Northwinds Parkway into an Italian Renaissance campus complete with a piazza that resembles the streets of Italy.
The expansion will encompass 306,000 square feet when finished in December 2018. It will include an eight-story office building of 267,000 square feet and a 39,000 square foot amenities building that will house a state-of-the-art gym, indoor pool and full service restaurant for associates.
"We are blessed with a company of dedicated associates who put others first and want to improve the delivery of patient care," said Shane Jackson, President of Jackson Healthcare. "In return, we are creating facilities that will make coming to work even more enjoyable and benefit their quality of life for years to come."
Jackson Healthcare, ranked by the Atlanta Business Chronicle for the past three years as the best place to work in the region, is noted for its service in the community and the benefits it offers its associates. For example, it already offers a health clinic, gym and upscale dining at its current headquarters building on Northwinds Parkway.
The Jackson Healthcare development is the largest corporate headquarters expansion on the drawing board for North Fulton. When completed, the campus will encompass 550,000 square feet including the existing, 180,000 square foot headquarters building and another newly-purchased building on campus.
"Jackson Healthcare is a powerhouse job creator for our region," said Brandon Beach, President and Chief Executive Officer of the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. "This project is going to continue to make North Fulton a destination to live and work."
Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle agreed that the additional 1,400 new jobs will transform Alpharetta as it becomes its own center of commerce. "These are high quality jobs, and our residents will be grateful to find such desirable jobs so close to home," he said.
The new Colosseum amenity building will also house a host of other services including a hair salon, dry cleaners, spray-tanning studio, chiropractor, massage, and a barber so associates have numerous conveniences available to them on campus every day.
The architect of the Jackson project is Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio, LLC Architecture + Interior Design (RJTR). The general contractor is Choate Construction.
Jackson Healthcare currently employs 1,100 workers across the country including 900 associates in the Atlanta area. One of Georgia's top privately-run companies, Jackson reported annual revenues of $798 million in 2015.
