Jackson Healthcare Announces Finalists for Hospital Charitable Services Awards
ATLANTA, Oct. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Fifty-four finalists were announced for Jackson Healthcare's annual Hospital Charitable Services Awards, a national program that recognizes hospital programs that impact America's underserved in sustainable ways.
Finalists for the 2014 season were selected from a pool of nominees that spanned 35 states and included 208 programs from 183 hospitals.
Each nominee had to demonstrate excellence in five criteria areas: community impact, innovation, collaboration, transferability and leading practices. Finalists represent only those nominees that remain in consideration for the awards.
Atlanta-based Jackson Healthcare, one of the nation's largest staffing companies, established the Awards in 2010 to help hospital programs develop new standards for community benefit and health. The company also founded and hosts a national conference focused exclusively on hospital charitable services.
Award recipients — designated as Programs of Excellence — will be announced at a banquet after the national hospital charitable services conference on February 5, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia. These programs will share in a $100,000 award fund. Additionally, $2,500 grants will be awarded to Programs of Promise, which are newer programs that demonstrate a clear vision for addressing community need in innovative ways.
