Jackie Muko Works for White Castle for 38 Years

CLEVELAND, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- White Castle General Manager, Jackie Muko, has worked for the company for 38 years. On Saturday, February 13, 2010, she'll be behind the counter, steaming up the company's signature Sliders, on her last day at the 5151 Pearl Road location in Cleveland, Ohio.

"Lots of regulars will probably be in to wish Jackie farewell in her retirement," said Ken Walters, Regional Director of Restaurant Operations for Columbus and Northeast Ohio. "Jackie has always set a wonderful example for other team members. She has worked at many locations and has assisted in the development of numerous team members and management personnel. She will be missed by us all."

Muko began her career with White Castle on June 7, 1972, in Columbus. With hard work and determination she moved up the ranks to her current position of General Manager on October 18, 1976. She transferred to the Northeast Ohio Region on April 24, 1988, where she has remained a loyal and valued team member.

Of her career, Muko says, "It has all gone by so quickly – I've met so many wonderful people and had so many wonderful experiences. It's just a great company to work for." Muko achieved the 25 year milestone in 1997. "All the 25 Year Club inductees were invited to have lunch at the president's home. Then there was a wonderful banquet where all the inductees were introduced individually. Bill Ingram, President and CEO, presented us with gold watches. It was so special to be honored that way."

Jackie is an avid reader, an excellent baker, and enjoys spending time with her family. She has two children, a daughter, Jennifer, and a son, Elizey. To keep her busy in her retirement, she also has three grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great grandson. But her family goes well past the home front. "I consider all of my customers to be 'one of ours'. I've developed many friendships throughout the years with loyal customers." Jackie resides in South Amherst.
