WASHINGTON, Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack Fitzgerald will be a guest on "Power of Attorney" on September 14, 2013 at 10:00 am-10:30 am on the WTOP Radio Federal News Radio station. Estate Tax Attorney and Radio Host Wayne Zell will interview Fitzgerald, founder of Americans Standing for the Simplification of the Estate Tax (ASSET).
Fitzgerald is a successful business entrepreneur and founded the grass roots organization, ASSET, in 2010. He did this after successfully achieving bipartisan legislation to help save jobs at auto dealerships during the GM/Chrysler crisis. His work at ASSET furthers saving jobs in private medium sized businesses, farms and ranches. ASSET supporters have grown to over 6,000 individuals and organizations that want a change in the estate tax collection methodology.
"The super-rich don't pay the estate tax," states Fitzgerald. "Even one of President Clinton's economic advisors said the amount you pay is dependent on who prepares your return. It puts a lot of people out of work and we want to find a way to change that," adds Fitzgerald.
The ASSET proposal is designed to change the estate tax collection method from requiring a payment at the time of death when a business or farm is most vulnerable, to a collection based on the sale of estate assets during capital gains, when and if they are sold. ASSET also creates a bridge to maintain cash flow to the IRS so the government takes no risk.
Listen in on September 14, 2013 at 10:00 am to Wayne Zell on the "Power of Attorney".

He also writes a guest blog for the Washington Business Journal and is the author of Blueprint for Wealth, a blog and compendium of articles, videos and audio (including old radio shows) on tax, estate planning and business planning topics.
