NASHUA, N.H., March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Jabra, a leading manufacturer of intelligent audio solutions, today announced the appointment of Rene Svendsen-Tune as CEO of GN Netcom and member of GN Store Nord's executive management team, effective as of April 1, 2015. Rene Svendsen-Tune replaces Niels Svenningsen, who decided to resign as CEO of GN Netcom (Jabra) for family reasons. Rene Svendsen-Tune is consequently stepping down from the board of directors with effect as of today.
Niels Svenningsen joined GN Netcom in December 2013 and ensured the strong execution of the 2014 – 2016: INNOVATION & GROWTH Strategy. As a result, GN Netcom achieved its best financial results in company history for 2014 and became the leader in worldwide sales for Unified Communications headsets. Niels Svenningsen will assist Rene Svendsen-Tune to ensure a smooth transition.

Rene Svendsen-Tune has more than 20 years of management experience in the technology sector and in-depth knowledge in GN Netcom's key business areas including information technologies and telecommunications. Rene Svendsen-Tune joins GN Netcom from a position as president and member of the executive board at Nokia Networks with responsibility for Europe and Latin America. Before that Rene Svendsen-Tune was president and CEO of Teleca. Rene Svendsen-Tune has significant understanding and insight into the business of GN Store Nord where he has served as a valued board member since 2007.
