NASHUA, N.H., Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Jabra, a world-wide leader in hands free communication products, today announced a restructuring of its North American sales organization to better position the company for what it sees as its next phase of growth, with greater commitment to deepening its partnerships with both customers and channel partners and increased emphasis on the contact center market.
As customer service becomes an ever increasing requirement, Yves Dupuis, Vice President of Sales and Services, will continue in his role as strategic sales chief for Jabra's end users but will also take on the responsibilities of selling the company's suite of services. Dupuis will add responsibility for customer service and support, ensuring customer needs are addressed pre- and post-sale.
To increase the company's focus on the contact center market, Khai Tran has been appointed to Vice President of Contact Center Sales, a new position focused specifically on better addressing this unique set of customers. The North America Contact Center market, long a key priority area for Jabra, now takes on an even more clear focus. "I'm thrilled to engage more deeply with customers and partners to deliver the promise of Jabra's solutions to Contact Centers in North America," stated Tran. Tran and Jabra's Contact Center Specialist team are already at work on their exciting plans for 2015 and beyond.
Simultaneously, Jabra appointed Urban Gillis to Vice President, Channel Sales, responsible for all channel sales to direct and indirect partners. Gillis is chartered with the overall growth and health of the channel ecosystem, including resellers, influencers and alliance partners of all sizes. Gillis, a 10+ year veteran of Jabra, also is responsible for the company's North America SMB strategy.
As Jabra's business grows and it touches more partners, efficiency and effectiveness of channel distribution has increased in importance. To increase partner responsiveness and increase back office support, Jabra appointed Mark Derby to the role of Vice President, Distribution Sales and Operations. He will have day-to-day responsibility for direct distributor relationships and operations.
"We recognize that the business has evolved and what has gotten us to this point in North America is not the same approach and structure we're going to need to achieve our long term goals going forward," said Pete Fox, President of Jabra North America. "The changes announced today revolve around the key principle of getting closer to customers and partners. It's critical that the voice of our customers and partners are the main drivers of everything we do."
