IZP Group to Build 'Silk Road Station' in Belarus
BEIJING, Sept. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- During his visit to Belarus from May 10-12, 2015, IZP Group president Luo Feng attended the China and Belarus local trade and economic cooperation forum held in Minsk. The forum was jointly sponsored by China's Ministry of Commerce and Belarus's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the economic and trade cooperation forum, Luo Feng and AOI company director Freddy Opsomer signed the Belarus Silk Road Station construction strategic cooperation agreement that encompassed five aspects; a cross-border payment and settlement center; an O2O commodity exhibition center; an export processing center; a comprehensive customs clearance service center; and a logistics distribution center. Mr. Luo exchanged views with the president of the Belarus central bank on the issue of Belarus card association establishment and clearing and settlement issues.
As pointed out by senior Chinese leadership at the Forum, Belarus is the "route must take" in Eurasian land transportation as it has unique geo-advantages for joint construction of the Silk Road. This Silk Road Station will drive economic development, deepen international cooperation and boost the growth of trade for China, helping to build trade and capital channels between China, Belarus and other European and Asian countries, and promoting the further development of economic and trade cooperation. Together with Lithuania Silk Road Station, it will form a cross-border trade "air corridor" across Russia, CIS countries and European Union countries, improving the economic and trade development of the whole region.
The economic and trade delegation activities brought the two governments and Belarusian enterprises a great amount of cooperation opportunities with the Belarusian government speaking highly of the Chinese government on its full support of cooperation between Chinese and Belarusian enterprises.
