itSMF USA, Name New Board Members

HOUSTON, Nov. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- itSMF USA, a chapter of itSMF International and the independent professional organization and forum for IT Service Management professionals in the U.S., has announced the organization's newly elected Board of Directors for 2015. itSMF International has also announced the new members who will join its 2015 Board.

New members elected to serve three-year terms for itSMF USA include Bob Grinsell, Cathy Kirch, and Kevin Ritter. They replace outgoing board members, Jack Probst, Jenny Geisler, Krystl Wyatt-Heine who have just completed their three-year terms. Probst, as Past President, will assume Shari Brunette's position as Executive Committee Member now that she has fulfilled her year in that position as the previous Past President.  Charles Araujo will serve as the President.

The 2015 itSMF USA Board of Directors will be officially seated on December 12, 2014. New portfolio assignments will be announced at that time as well. More information is available on the itSMF USA Board of Directors here.

Through itSMF International's Board of Director nomination process, three nominations were received for the three vacant board positions. Nominations from Kathryn Heaton (nominated by the Australian Chapter), Shari Brunette (nominated by the U.S. Chapter), and John Deland (nominated by the Canadian Chapter) were received and were found to be in order. As a result, there will not need be an election process and it is anticipated that Kathryn, Shari and John will be declared elected via teleconference on December 18, 2014.
