MIAMI, June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- What's your speed…a Lamborghini, Maserati, Bentley or Ferrari? To celebrate the launch of its new summer vacation offers at www.MiamiandBeaches.com and to thank New Yorkers for helping the destination break its tourism records for the third consecutive year, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is bringing Miami to Manhattan tomorrow in style! Street style that is, as one of its brand advertisements pops off the page and comes to life in midtown for area resident and visitors.
Thank You New York! "It's So Miami Taxi Stand" – Hail a Free Ride!
Featured in one of the It's So Miami ads is a McLaren in front of a Cuban coffee shop showcasing the authentic street scene of the destination - where else would you sip an authentic Cuban coffee while riding in a luxury car? While New York is known for its iconic bright yellow sea of cabs and countless corner bodegas, Greater Miami and the Beaches' streets are lined with vibrant sports and luxury cars. Sunny yellow, electric orange, red hot, bright blue, stunning silver…tomorrow New Yorkers can experience a ride in one of our exotic cars:
Pick up: Bryant Park, 6th Ave between 41 and 42nd streets
When: Tuesday, June 26; Noon to 6:00 p.m.
Ride: Take a spin around the block or get dropped off anywhere between 57 and 34th streets and Park to 8th avenues
#SoMiami Snapshots
Everyone stopping by for a ride will be encouraged to snap a photo and share it on social media for a chance to win a vacation to the destination. Using the #SoMiami hashtag, fans can tweet to @MiamiAndBeaches, post to Instagram and upload to their Facebook page, taking care to tag the Miami and Beaches page at Facebook.com/VisitMiami, to enter for a chance to win. Can't make it to ride in a car? No worries, anyone around town who spots one of the It's So Miami-branded cars and posts using the #SoMiami hashtag will be entered too! One winner will be chosen randomly. Additionally, New Yorkers who retweet @MiamiAndBeaches' FAST PASS tweet will be entered to win a chance to cut to the front of the taxi line at a time of their choosing.
Destination Sites, Flavors and Sounds
While waiting for their ride, consumers can slow down and stroll the palm tree lined sidewalk while sipping on an authentic Cuban coffee or Cocofrio. Popular Clear Channel DJs, including DJ Prostyle, DJ SELF, Greg T of the Z100 Elvis Duran Morning Show and Trey Morgan will be stopping by, spinning and playing tunes inspired by their time spent in the destination. And, destination representatives will be chilling out in a cabana should anyone have a question about their next visit to Greater Miami and the Beaches.
