It's So Miami… in Times Square
Engaging consumers in the destination's number one feeder market, the It's So Miami Vending Machine provided something to everyone! And, every hour the machine opened up and special 'Miami Experiences' came to life. Each Miami experience ended with a lucky consumer winning a trip for two to the destination:
- A Pitbull look alike handed out a stay at The National Hotel along with his new cologne
- Bikini-clad models served up cocofrios on a silver tray with a trip to Sense Beach House
- Miami's diverse heritage was on display when Samba dancers performed and ended their routine with a winner receiving a pre-or-post cruise stay at The Viceroy Hotel plus a sailing on the new Miami-themed Norwegian Getaway ship (Norwegian Cruise Lines).
Celebrity DJs from Clear Channel radio stations were also there to greet fans. DJ Prostyle spun tunes and handed over a trip to the W Hotel South Beach to one lucky winner while DJ Cindy Vero gave away tickets to KTUphoria. DJs Greg T, Carla Marie and Angela Lee also hyped up the crowd and pressed their luck at the It's So Miami Vending Machine.
"We're celebrating another banner year of record-breaking tourism proving that Greater Miami and The Beaches has transitioned from a warm winter getaway to a popular year-round destination," said GMCVB President & CEO William D. Talbert, III, CDME. "Summer is an ideal time to come visit, especially with the new offers we have launched. In addition to our pristine beaches and electric nightlife, this year's Miami Soccer Summer is another attractive incentive adding to the highly anticipated Miami Spice and Miami Spa Months on the horizon for summer enjoyment. These programs and more encourage visitors to make the most of their time in our destination."
