The Governor of South Dakota, Dennis Daugaard, has proclaimed May 9 as World Strider Day to recognize the importance of inspiring healthy activities for very young children. In the Proclamation, the Governor also cites Strider's contribution to teaching children as young as 18 months how to ride on two wheeled bicycles.
