LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Offering both sportiness and luxury, a wide variety of new cars hit the show floor at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show (Nov 20-29) featuring premium interior refinements in Alcantara®, the Italian-made luxury material that combines innovative techniques and stylistic finishes for many automakers.
Porsche's LA offerings, include: a new Cayman GT4 featuring seats, steering wheel, door panel, headliner, pillars, glove compartment, shift lever and armrest in Alcantara; the interior of the 911 GT3 RS also sported several Alcantara elements as well as the Cayenne S e-hybrid, which showcased the carbon-neutral Italian material. In addition, dark grey Alcantara is used on Cayenne Turbo S, 911 Carrera 4S, Panamera GTS, Macan S, Macan GTS, Macan Turbo, Cayman GTS and Spyder.
Audi has a number of vehicles on display with Alcantara interiors as well. The RS7 Quattro is fitted with seats in a grey Alcantara/leather combination with a honeycomb pattern and matching contrasting blue stitching on armrests and floor mats. Knee pads are in Alcantara with carbon twill blue inlays. Other Audi premium offerings with Alcantara treatments include the R8 V10 Plus, featuring a particular squared pattern on the ceiling, the Q7 3.0 T Quattro and the S8 Plus.
Ford's F-150 Lariat comes to the show with seats in black perforated Alcantara featuring red backing and red contrast stitching combined with red leather.
Lincoln trims out a variety of its Black Label interior packages in the MKZ, which makes its global debut in Los Angeles, dressed in Alcantara that can be found gracing headliners, pillars and rear deck. Lincoln also makes use of the premium material in the Continental M1, MKX Thoroughbred and MKC.
BMW showcases a range of new vehicles in LA fitted out with Alcantara. The new 7Series, in particular the 750i x-drive sedan, has a truffle-colored Alcantara headliner, while the M4 GTS dresses its steering wheel with Alcantara anthracite combined with blue and red stitching. The material also enriches interiors of the X5 x-drive 50i, the X6M and M6.
Other vehicles at the LA Auto Show are equipped in Alcantara trim, including a Dodge Challenger showing seating with a perforated surface with an exclusive sparkling backing, as well as Charger, Viper and Hellcat.
Acura, the luxury car manufacturer from Japan, displays its new NSX with seats, door panels and headliners in grey Alcantara with red contrast stitching.
