itelligence Completes Third "Go Live" in US of SAP® Governance, Risk and Compliance - Access Control 10.0 Suite at TTX Company
CINCINNATI, Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- itelligence announced today the successful implementations of the SAP® Governance, Risk and Compliance - Access Control 10.0 Suite—the third such "Go Live" for this product in the U.S., notably achieved in an accelerated 15-week timeframe —and the itelligence Secure.it solution for SAP Security at TTX Company, a leading provider of railcars and freight car management services to the North American rail industry. itelligence and TTX completed the implementations for these separate systems in parallel.
SAP BusinessObjects Governance, Risk and Compliance - Access Control delivers a comprehensive, cross-enterprise set of access controls that enables corporate compliance stakeholders, including business managers, auditors, and IT security managers to collaboratively define and oversee proper Segregation of Duty (SoD) enforcement, enterprise role management, compliant provisioning, and superuser privilege management. SAP GRC Access Control addresses a complete range of control risks across the enterprise, enforcing segregation of duties across applications and departments, optimizing operations and minimizing time and cost for financial compliance.
TTX's decision to implement SAP GRC, which connects to the backend ERP system, was made as part of its commitment to improving its internal controls environment. After surveying the marketplace for access control software, TTX selected SAP GRC to best meet its requirements and conducted an in-depth review of several firms to find the right implementation partner. "itelligence was chosen based on their implementation experience and reputation as an SAP business partner," said Jim Lindsey, Director Financial Reporting of TTX. "We knew itelligence had both the SAP partner credentials and global support capabilities to help us achieve our short- and long-term objectives. Helping us make the decision was the fact that the itelligence implementation team would consist of highly skilled SAP GRC Access Control consultants that have had previous experience with multiple full suite implementations of the software during prior releases. As an added benefit, the same consultants would provide post go-live application support, which provided continuity."
Reflecting on the implementation process and its outcomes, Lindsey added, "The experience was beneficial in many ways, most notably, the accelerated, 15-week implementation timeline using an agile methodology and the iterative approach to implementation that allowed our business process owners to collaborate in the design stage. In addition, the itelligence team was able to offer advice on Best Practices in the GRC domain in order to facilitate quick decision making regarding the design of critical processes in the work stream."
With itelligence's assistance, TTX simultaneously engaged in a security role redesign for the ERP system using the itelligenceSecure.it solution to pre-configure SOX-compliant SAP Security roles customized to the Company's needs. TTX now has the technology infrastructure to support a compliant environment by utilizing the full suite of SAP GRC Access Controls including Access Risk Management, Compliant User Provisioning, Enterprise Role Management and Superuser Privilege Management.
"SAP GRC Access Control creates significant business opportunities, allowing us to help companies like TTX with a preventive, real-time approach to proactively prevent risk events and compliance violations ultimately protecting the value of an organization," said Alex Joseph, SAP GRC Practice Manager for itelligence. "We are confident that TTX is now better positioned to manage and reduce access risk across the enterprise by helping prevent unauthorized access and achieve real-time visibility into access risk."
