Italtel Launches Two End-To-End Quality Of Experience Evaluation Solutions At MWC 2014
iNES and iQAC address the need to optimize network behavior by proactively operating and controlling the infrastructure.
MILAN, Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Italtel today launched two new end-to-end Network Control solutions for intelligent networks which will help operators to enhance service levels whilst at the same time reducing service provider OPEX.
Developed from real large Telecom Operators experience – iNES, provides automation of configuration and troubleshooting activities to supply proactive IP network care, and iQAC, provides active monitoring for quality control, i.e. by traffic injection simulating end customer experience.
iNES (Italtel Network Empowerment System) effectively improves network manageability in critical management areas, such as, troubleshooting, configuration and analysis/assessment, where the OSS support is often poor. It automates manual activities and facilitates issues resolution, increasing network reliability. iNES is designed for multi-vendor purposes and can manage most Cisco and Juniper equipments.
Meanwhile, iQAC (Italtel Quality Assurance Center) helps Service Providers to measure customer experience. Proactively stimulating the network, iQAC acquires information about the level of perceived service quality and makes use of active intelligent agents that cooperate with each other and stimulate the network from its edge. The traffic simulations foster a proactive approach to the detection of service degradation, reducing the chances of service disruption.
"Nowadays Telecom Operators and large enterprises face the challenge of providing an enhanced service level, proficiently operating and managing their networks, while at the same time reducing operating expenses," comments Stefano Pileri, CEO at Italtel. "There is a dramatic need for cost effective technology-independent solutions that can help seamlessly control and operate multi-vendor networks, while evaluating customer-perceived Quality of Experience. The answer cannot come from all-purpose OSS systems, but from end-to-end Network Control solutions like iNES and iQAC, providing specific vertical features and enabling IT staff to avoid time-consuming manual tasks."
With its long-term experience in deploying and managing network infrastructures for the major Telco Operators worldwide, Italtel has developed specific knowledge on Quality of Experience evaluation and day-to-day operations and maintenance activities.
The deployment of effective solutions that simplify network operation activities benefits Service Providers and Enterprises in terms of OpEx reduction, engineering processes improvement, downtime reduction and technology skill gap reduction.
By performing a good appraisal of Quality of Experience level, service providers can anticipate potentially critical conditions and take the relevant measures to improve customer retention, without lowering prices, thus preserving Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).
