iT1 Source Becomes Principal Distributor of Acrolinx Plain Language Software to the Federal Government
SAN JOSE, Calif., July 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Acrolinx today announced that it has entered into a partnership with iT1 Source (iT1), a provider of managed IT solutions. Under the agreement, iT1 will become the principal distributor of the Acrolinx Plain English Solution to the US Federal Government. Acrolinx helps government agencies comply with the Plain Writing Act of 2010, which requires public content to be clear, concise, and easy to understand. Acrolinx also helps ensure that public content conforms to the OMB Plain Writing Guidelines.
"We're excited to be working with a fantastic organization like iT1," said Dr. Andrew Bredenkamp, Acrolinx Founder and CEO. "With this partnership, we get access to an approved entry point for Acrolinx licensing to the Federal Government. We look forward to working with a well-managed, customer-focused company, with an outstanding team with deep sales experience in the Federal Government space."
iT1 will manage sales of Acrolinx to the Federal Government as a CIO-CS Contract holder. CIO-CS is a $20 billion Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) for commodities and solutions, including commercial software and enterprise licenses. The Acrolinx software is available for immediate sale to anyone in any branch of the Federal Government through iT1 and the CIO-CS contract.
"Acrolinx is an excellent solution that will help government agencies overcome the challenges of managing plain writing at scale," said Guy Steinbrink, Principal of iT1. "We're delighted to be able to work with a dynamic company, with unique capability and functionality. We believe that Acrolinx will play a critical role in helping government agencies meet the obligations required by the Plain Writing Act of 2010."
The Acrolinx software analyzes and scores content, guides writers to follow Plain Writing Guidelines, and helps them maintain one clear, consistent voice. It also offers robust analytics to provide managers with the critical metrics they need to ensure conformance with the Plain Writing Act and Guidelines.
Feedback from ongoing deployments shows that Acrolinx addresses critical communication, operational, and management issues that have previously hindered full compliance with Plain Writing Guidelines. This real-world feedback has been built in to the latest release of the software. The Acrolinx Plain English Solution is now ready for prime time.
