IT Security and the Challenge From Mobile Devices - Statement by SecurePIM Expert virtual solution
MUNICH, January 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
As part of the annual Munich Security Conference, an event on "Cyber Security" will take place on February 5. Munich's virtual solution AG will use the occasion to inform on SecurePIM, its mobile communications application. Nico von Rintelen, shareholder of virtual solution AG, will speak on mobile, security and encryption. virtual solution is main sponsor of the event, together with Allianz, Siemens, and Microsoft. The conference will welcome speakers like Minister of State Ilse Aigner, the former Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and others.
"Today, BYOD and security are not a contradiction anymore," says Dr. Raoul-Thomas Herborg, MD of virtual solution. "Smart phones and tablets are now basic equipment for every employee. Security concerns have become smaller and smaller with applications such as SecurePIM ensuring adequate security levels."
SecurePIM provides a security container for business data on smartphones and tablets, separated from other content.
Nico von Rintelen hopes for a paradigm shift: "The BYOD discussion is not about whether employees should be allowed to bring their mobile phones to work - of course they should be. Rather, we are focusing on building an efficient barrier between company data and private information that does not take large investments and can be easily installed in advance."
SecurePIM by virtual solution works like a complete mobile office program with functionalities for e-mail, organization, contacts, schedules, and more.
The event will take place on February 5 at Bayerischer Hof in Munich from 3:00 to 8:45 pm.
