"As the #1 brand of franks sold in New England, we want to celebrate New England's #1 football team," said Bob Kufferman, Kayem Senior Brand Manager. "We understand that most people can't afford to go to the game in Indy, so we want to pay tribute to the millions of tailgaters and partygoers celebrating and watching the game at home."
Kayem asked its Facebook fans what they would do with the money it would cost to buy a ticket. Buy a new big-screen TV? Host a big party with friends and family? Give it to charity? A sampling of responses included:
- "Buy some of the much-needed things that we've had to put off because we cannot afford them like getting our only car fixed, among others."
- "I would put most of it toward fixing up my house to sell. The rest would go to a couple cases of Kayem Brats and moving expenses to Florida where I can cook them up in the sunshine!"
- "Pay for bills and add to savings."
