Isolux Corsan Completes its Second Contract in Senegal

Isolux Corsan has completed two of the three contracts in Senegal awarded in 2013 by Millenium Challenge Account with a total budget of over €111 million. In January 2015 the Company delivered the Kolda Bridge project and now the Group has delivered a new stretch of road, with a length of 72.5 kilometers, consisting of two lanes of 3.60 m and shoulders of 1.5 m.

The global project, the first executed and developed entirely by Isolux Corsan in that country, includes three contracts for the expansion and rehabilitation of 194.5 km of RN6 road between the towns of Ziguinchor and Kolda, southern Senegal, and includes the implementation of the new bridge in Kolda, 91 meters long, as singular performance. The project is funded by Millennium Challenge Corporation(USA).
As part of this project, Isolux Corsan is developing a social plan in the area that will improve the quality of life and opportunities for the local population through a series of actions in health, environment and help with disability in the region of Casamance, southern Senegal.
