DALLAS, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ISN has released its annual U.S. Owner Client Peer Group Benchmarking Report, the latest in its series of Health & Safety Performance Indicators publications centered on data compiled from its widely used contractor management database, ISNetworld. The report contains aggregated health and safety performance data from 2012, representing over seven billion work hours of contractor activity in the United States.

The report, geared toward Owner Client companies that utilize outsourced contractors for non-core activities, analyzes historical key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workplace health and safety, such as days away from work and total recordable incident rates. These Owner Client companies can use the data to determine how their contractors' health and safety performance compares to that of their peers.
"The benchmarking report enables organizations to establish data driven baselines for contractor and companywide health and safety performance targets, as well as to assess their contractor selection and management strategies," said Dag Yemenu, Vice President of Technical and Customer Services at ISN.
Based on feedback received from its members, ISN has several additions to its Health & Safety Performance Indicator series slated for release this fall, including a version of the Owner Client Peer Group Benchmarking report centered solely on Canadian companies.
"Insight obtained from benchmarking data serves as an invaluable asset when developing management strategies," said Joseph Eastin, ISN President. "The value of the data stretches across all organizations irrespective of their performance lifecycle."
