Award honors distinguished service to supply management profession
TEMPE, Ariz., Nov. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®) is accepting nominations for the J. Shipman Gold Medal Award now through February 1, 2018.
The J. Shipman Gold Medal Award is ISM's most esteemed award and is presented annually to an individual who has performed distinguished service for the cause and advancement of the supply management profession. Those chosen for the award also have mentored and guided members of the profession to excel in their own endeavors.
The award was created in 1931 to commemorate the work of Johnson Shipman, a pioneer member of the New York affiliate of the National Association of Purchasing Agents, now Institute for Supply Management, who was well-known for giving liberally of his time and counsel.
