More than 800 industry professionals from more than 40 countries are expected to attend the 19th annual event February 15-17 at the Disney Yacht & Beach Club Resort and Conference Center in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. ISG is joining with leaders from top corporations, government entities, service providers and other organizations to discuss the latest trends and best practices shaping the global sourcing industry. - Paul Reynolds, partner and chief research officer of ISG, and Jan Erik Aase, director of Research and principal analyst with ISG Insights, will lead the second annual North American Academic Workshop on Sunday, February 14, from 8 am to 5 pm, an event that brings together academic researchers and industry practitioners to explore significant issues and challenges in the global outsourcing industry.
- Harvey Gluckman, partner in ISG's technology practice, will co-present, with Jagdish R. Dalal, chief advisor, thought leadership with IAOP, the findings of the IAOP's State of the Industry survey in a general session keynote address at 1:30 pm, Monday, February 15. Gluckman will offer industry observations and insights to provide additional perspective on the survey findings.
- Bill McNee, CEO and founder of Saugatuck Technology, an ISG business, will provide industry perspective on the winning research paper from the ISG co-hosted North American Academic Workshop as he co-presents with the author in an educational track session on Tuesday, February 16, at 11:30 am.
In addition, Gluckman will be co-presenting, along with IAOP CEO Debi Hamill, the fourth annual IAOP/ISG Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award during an awards luncheon on Tuesday, February 16, starting at 12:30 pm. This year's winner is ISS, a leading global facility services provider.
ISG also will be exhibiting in the Exhibitor Pavilion on Monday and Tuesday, February 15-16. On Tuesday, February 16, Dr. Leslie Willcocks, professor, Technology Work and Globalization, London School of Economics and Political Science, and Dr. Mary Lacity, curators' professor of Information Systems, College of Business, University of Missouri-St. Louis, will be at the ISG booth signing copies of their latest book, Service Automation: Robots and the Future of Work. They will be joined by Rob Brindley, director in ISG's manufacturing practice, who authored a chapter in the book. From 10:30 am to 11:30 am, ISG is making complimentary copies of the book available to the first 150 visitors to its booth, located in space 58.
Attendees are invited to participate in an ISG Workshop on Technology Business Management (TBM) for IT Sourcing, an interactive session that explores how the discipline of TBM enables enterprises to better understand and manage their IT costs and optimize their IT investments.
