(ISC)2 and NTT-AT to Provide Security Training for NTT Employees
NTT staff in Japan will receive globally-recognized CISSP training and ongoing educational opportunities
HONG KONG, Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- (ISC)2 – the world's largest nonprofit association of certified cybersecurity professionals – today announced a strategic partnership with NTT Advanced Technology Corporation (NTT-AT) to offer the official Certified Information Systems Security Profession (CISSP) Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) as corporate training to all NTT Group employees in an effort to provide cybersecurity professional development programs.
NTT-AT has adopted the CISSP certification for certain functions within the organization in addition to supporting its employees in obtaining the CISSP using official education. Working with the NTT Secure Platform Laboratories, NTT-AT has also translated the Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CISSP CBK into Japanese, making additional localized content available to the cybersecurity community in Japan. NTT-AT employees will be able to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for relevant internal courses, helping them to maintain their certifications once attained.
"NTT-AT is once again showcasing its innovative nature by working with (ISC)2 to create a program that will not only grow but continuously develop cybersecurity talent within its organization," said David Shearer, CEO, CISSP, (ISC)2. "This is a company that understands the value of security expertise, and that it needs to be constantly cultivated in order to thrive."
As a technical division within NTT Group, NTT-AT widely adopts not only the advanced technologies of NTT laboratories but also those from across its global network and combines them to provide innovative solutions for its customers. In addition to cultivating advanced security experts, NTT-AT is focused on developing highly value-added security services and related products in order to support NTT Group's businesses.
"We recognize that cybersecurity expertise is not achieved overnight. NTT-AT strives to be at the bleeding edge of the technology industry. Our partnership with (ISC)2 will greatly benefit our employees, the company itself, and the larger community in Japan as we enable long-term pursuit of a safer online environment," said George Kimura, Chief Executive Officer, at NTT-AT.
"Our partnership with NTT-AT underscores the journey that its employee base will undertake, and this is evidenced by the company's commitment to not only have its staff certified as cyber experts, but also help them along the path to recertification in order to keep up with the latest trends in the field," said Clayton Jones, managing director, Asia-Pacific, (ISC)2.
