IRWIN Tools Kicks Off "Nominate A Tradesman" Contest

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C., Jan. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- IRWIN Tools, founder of the annual National Tradesmen Day, has expanded efforts to raise awareness and appreciation for trade professionals by launching the 2016 IRWIN Tools Nominate a Tradesman Contest. Community members throughout North America are invited to nominate themselves, or a tradesperson in their community for the chance to win a new Ford® F-150 truck and one of six monthly prizes worth up to $200 in IRWIN Tools.

"We first launched this contest in 2015 and love that it gives communities an opportunity to join us in celebrating the trade professionals who make a positive difference in each of our lives," said Nick Mastrone, Vice President of Marketing. Nominations must include an essay of up to 500 words stating why the entrant believes they or a tradesperson they know has made a difference in their community. The competition runs through June 30, 2016 with a limit of one nomination per entrant. The competition is open to residents 18 years and older in the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska, and residents over the age of majority in Canada, and is subject to all official rules.
