Irwin D. Simon, Founder, President & CEO of Hain Celestial Helps Make Thanksgiving Dinner Possible for Thousands at The Bowery Mission
MELVILLE, N.Y., Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at 227 Bowery, Irwin D. Simon, the Founder, President & CEO of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAIN), and his family will bring holiday cheer to some of the 5,000 people expected to receive a meal from The Bowery Mission. Hain Celestial is a major contributor to the Mission's meals to homeless, hungry and lonely New Yorkers. Hain Pure Protein Corporation, its affiliate, is contributing 200 vegetarian-fed turkeys that were raised without antibiotics and on local family farms, and Hain Celestial's Terra® brand, known for its 100% natural exotic vegetable chips, is contributing 2,000 pounds of sweet potatoes. Hain Celestial is also donating other food items to help provide a complete meal for Thanksgiving Day.

About Thanksgiving Day at The Bowery Mission
Meals will be served at 227 Bowery (between Houston and Delancey Streets) at 8:00am, 10:00am, 12:00 noon, 2:00pm, 5:00pm, and 7:00pm. In addition to a turkey dinner, each guest will receive a new coat and a "blessing bag" of winter clothes and hygiene items. Children will receive toys. Food prepared by The Bowery Mission will also be served at 20 other locations in all five New York City boroughs.
